Prefall ’23
Liminality is a place of transition. Liminality creates a fluid, malleable situation, that enables new institutions and customs to become established. Liminality is a term used to describe the psychological process of transitioning across boundaries and borders. The word LIMINAL comes from the Latin word ‘limen’, meaning threshold – any point, place, or movement of entering, transitioning, and beginning. A liminal space is the time between the ‘what was’ and the ‘next’.
